I know that in the past Gerard has mentioned that The Smashing Pumpkins were a big influence to his music, ( http://www.netphoria.org/?s=spfc ) and I guess this is proof. When I showed this to my friends they thought they sounded nothing alike and that I was trying to insult Gerard. I’m not! I love his music! Anyways, I don’t know if they’re stupid or I’m insane, but I would like to know if anyone else hears how similar they sound.
